Paper Plates and Romance

Two nights ago I surprised my hard working man with a Hard Working Man Meal: Top Sirloin and his favorite red potatoes. I decided to try and add a little romance to this meal by lighting all the little odds and ends candles we have around our apartment so that he would come home to a romantic candle-lit dinner. it wasn't until the "plates" and "glasses" were set on the table and the food was served that I realized paper plates and plastic cups kind of dulls downs the fancy romance factor. Gotta love the summers!

This boy likes to have fun

Douglas had another itch this past Sunday to ride the Slingshot again so we took some friends and headed out. He rode it twice, I did not get on it this time. Instead I enjoyed the simple amusement of my husband at the forgotten things in life: adrenaline rush at great heights, go-carts, and getting deals at a carnival by pretending to be friends with the carnies. Oh the simple things in life.

If you could only see his smile coming around this turn...

Clearwater Beach

This Sunday Mr. Handsome and I went to Clearwater Beach which is on the Gulf Side of Florida. It was so beautiful! Even in Hawaii I have never felt ocean water so warm and sand so soft-it felt like heaven and we can't wait to go back. It was so relaxing laying on the beach even though is was crowded we put up our own little bubble and could not be disturbed and the water was even more relaxing, it felt like we were wading in a luke warm bath. It was a perfect day with my perfect man. I love our Sundays!
